2nd December, Students from the Centre for Foundation, Language and Malaysian Studies conducted a webinar with guest speakers Dr Nik Nairan, a public health specialist, and nutritionist Kenneth Low, to share information on cancer and clarify the myths and misconceptions surrounding the disease.

Both Kenneth and Dr Nik stated that despite being genetically predisposed to cancer, it is ultimately your lifestyle that affects your risk of getting cancer. By quitting smoking or reducing your intake of processed food, individuals can significantly reduce their risk of getting cancer, sometimes up to 20-30%.

On the 13th December, the students will host a quiz titled Cancer: Myths and Misconceptions – prizes await. To register, go to https://rb.gy/h9yuuy
