Biotechnology students and lecturers visited Ajinomoto Sdn. Bhd, where they learned all about Ajinomoto – a fermented product manufactured from sugar cane or beet, with the help of microorganisms. The visit included a hands on cooking demonstration, and Umami Taste Discovery Session. Particularly beneficial for students studying Fermentation Technology and Microbial Biotechnology, the trip was organised by subject lecturer, Dr. Nanthini Jayaram.
